Winter in-home family photo session in Ridgewood NJ

Winter is perfect time to capture your family at your home, even if you don’t have a newborn or little ones. Of course, little ones usually love having me at their home and show off their toys and their rooms, so that works well.

As a Ridgewood photographer, I definitely have to make long winter work for photos : ) This session was with my regular client, and they had done an outside session in the fall, and this in-home session later as they wanted to capture their family in the renovated parts of their home. And you only need a couple of rooms to create a full gallery of images, so it was perfect.

The session started on the cozy couch watching K-pop Demon Hunters(a huge hit in 2025), leading to kids’ talent show : ) what a perfect scene is this.

Snack time is usually our favorite time during a session. Are there better treats than those from Sook in Ridgewood? I love capturing interactions and precious moments through small activities.

And we played a super easy game as a family. Playing games shows everyone’s personality : )

We danced, snacked, played a game, and it was chilly out but it was time to burn some energy outside!
